This year, as in years past, the Trinity Center staff will be participating in the NAMI Walk Austin. The purpose of this annual event is threefold: to raise awareness around the realities of mental illness, to fundraise for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and to show support for those who are living with mental illness. We as staff believe it is important for Trinity Center to have a presence at the walk, considering how many of our beloved neighbors struggle daily with various forms of mental illness. This is one way of showing them and the greater Austin community that we recognize their strength.
We would like to extend an invitation to our volunteers to join us on Saturday, September 28 for the walk. Please know that while fundraising is one element of this event, you are in no way obligated to financially contribute in order to participate. While each team member is welcome to gather contributions, our primary focus is showing Trinity Center’s support.
If you are interested in signing up, please follow the instructions below. If you have any trouble, feel free to contact me (email@example.com) with any questions. We hope to see you there! And, as always, thank you for showering our neighbors with love and respect.
