Volunteers from Temple Beth Shalom spent a recent Saturday working hard to give Trinity Center a fresh interior coat of paint and a brighter look inside. The volunteers spent their day painting th einterior of the Center to give our neighbors, volunteers, and staff a pleasant environment for working, connecting, and visiting.
After four years of working at Trinity Center, and five years working in the downtown homeless community, my last day was Friday, May 6th. I started my social work career in July 2006, just out of UT grad school, as a Case Manager at the ARCH Healthcare for the Homeless clinic, and after a year there, I moved to Trinity Center where I have found a home away from home among our neighbors, staff, and volunteers. I have worn many hats as a Trinity Center staff member over the years from coordinating volunteers and running the Center to supervising interns and AmeriCorps members and even writing policies and grants.
