This is an exciting time for us at Trinity Center as we prepare to gather for our annual April fundraiser, the Barbara Jordan Celebration. We will eat, drink and be inspired as we raise money to support our mission of helping Austin’s homeless neighbors. We also will proudly honor the extraordinary service of the Sarahan Family with our  prestigious Pat Hazel Award, named after the beloved priest who spent many years as our spiritual leader.

Love your neighbor this Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is not just for lovers, right? It’s a reminder that we should love everyone  every day of the year. While we know that’s unlikely for most of us mortals, it’s certainly a worthy goal. Love your family, love your friends, love your neighbors. At Trinity Center we strive every day to love our neighbors, greet them with a smile and treat them with respect.

Spreading joy and love!

The joyful season that is Christmas can be seen, heard and smelled for weeks. We seem to be happier, more generous and more loving this time of year, don’t we? For many of us, it really is the most wonderful time of the year. Like a lot of people, I love decorating, cooking and entertaining. I even love shopping for gifts large and small and wrapping them with artistic flourishes that don’t exist the rest of the year.

Double-Duty Drew, Thank You!

Drew Sneed, a sophomore majoring in economics and math at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, volunteered with us twice a week during the summer. Usually we prefer not to bring in students, who may drop in once or twice but quickly depart for fun with friends. And who can blame them? But we need people who can commit to us on a regular basis.
